- Midgley Pace-Eggers
- Midgley, West Yorkshire, has the best-known team of Pace-Eggers, who perform their version of the *mumming play every *Good Friday in the village and surrounding areas. The custom had died out in Midgley around the time of the First World War, but was revived in 1932 by the local schoolmaster with a team of boys, and the play has been performed every year since, still under the auspices of the school.■ H.
